live cd+save session!

hello everyone..

I need an easy live distribution that i can boot from and load the kde. Also i would like to save my previous session in a usb stick or in my hardrive...is that possible?

which distribution do you suggest?

i have suse 10.1 dvd version ...do you think that it can satisfy the above requirements i have?

i am trying to find a live 10.2 suse distribution...but i cannot...

thanks a lot!

hey guysss

please help me on that because it is really urgent.. I tried the kubuntu 6.06 dvd (i can run the distro from that without installing it)..but i cannot save the session.. i have installed 2-3 programs and i wrote some files into my /home directory but i couldn't find an option of saving the session when logging..out... I remember that some old versions of knoppix could do that... where is this option?

I think the feature you are actually looking for is "persistent home" and if you check out the various live CDs for that term you would find many are capable of it. Knoppix, Kanotix, and Puppy all can. Puppy can even save back to the CD(RW) you boot it from because it is actually running in RAM, not the CD. I am pretty sure PCLOS has a persistent home and/or save to USB thumbdrive, etc. too
