Linux Mint (Cinnamon) vs. Zorin 16 and Ubuntu 20.04.3

I stumbled upon this article, which intrigued me enough to want to ask questions to the experts here:

https://www.itpro.com/operating-syst...x-distros-2021

I'm comfortable with a GUI OS, but much less so when it comes to command line stuff that goes beyond the basic "housekeeping" commands.

I'm also comfortable with Linux Mint (Cinnamon), having used it exclusively ever since 17.1; however, I would appreciate your feedback on a few other Linux OS's, which are referenced in the above article, in particular, Zorin 16 and Ubuntu 20.04.3, both of which have somewhat differing philosophies with regard to GUI's, product development and software upgrades.

Thanks for your input, good people - and Happy Thanksgiving!

I was unable to open the link. I got a "page not found" in both Firefox and Konqueror. but . . . .

I commonly refer to Mint as "Ubuntu done right."

I am using Ubuntu MATE on one machine and it's functioning quite nicely, but I won't use the default Gnome desktop, as I loathe Gnome with the fire of a thousand sun--er, I'm not a fan of Gnome. Gnome spells simplify "d-u-m-b-d-o-w-n." (I do use Gnome in a couple of VMs, just to keep my disgust fresh.)

I can't speak to Zorin.

Just my two cents.
