Linux Distro for Virtual Server/Workstation Host

Good day all,

Currently I've got a Dell Latitude D830 and was looking for a distro that could be my 'base' OS and provide the ability to run multiple VMs and sip the hardware resources on my laptop. My current issue is I do quite a bit of R&D and was hoping to have a 'base' OS that is similar to VMWare ESXi however it would also provide the ability to run the VMs on the machine as well instead of accessing them remotely.

The best option that I'm considering is Xubuntu however I'm open to suggestions but I'm really hoping to have the ability to use the built in Bluetooth and wireless. My guess OSes would range from Windows Vista, XP, Server 2003, Server 2008, Linux Distros, FreeBSD, etc.

ESXi doesn't have service console.

Anyway, use CentOS 5.1, install it with the "Virtualization" group, and go from there.

If you need to, update it to XEN 3.2 after install.
