As a longtime rpm-distro user (SUSE, Redhat, Mandrake) I was tired of rpm dependancy hell. I tried out Libranet 2.0 (free d/l) and liked it enough I bought Libranet 2.7 for 34.95 (student discount) Really enjoyed it so far. After all of my problems trying to install cdbakeoven, liquid theme, etc, just typing apt-get install is wonderful. The system is fast too. Fastest Linux distro yet for this newbie. One problem I had was Libranet refused to recognize my second hard drive s partitions created by Partition Magic. After trying just about everything, partitioning the hard drive w/ Redhat allowed Libranet to see the second drive. This distro comes w/ a lot of apps. I recommend it to any newbie who wants the convenience of apt-get in any easy to install package. Email me or post here if you have any questions.
