Libranet's primary partition requirement vs. Debian's
 

I recently installed Libranet Essentials 2.0 and have been really pleased with it so far, especially with dselect.

The main thing that's been bugging me however is that Libranet requires two primary type partitions, one of type Linux native and one of type Linux swap, to install properly. This presents a problem for me as I've already got an NTFS primary partition planted in the middle of the drive that I can't move due to its size (60 GB) and it being in use by Windows from my other harddrive which is only 20 GB small. This means that in total 3 out of the 4 possible primary partitions are taken and I have noticed that as soon as I add a 4th for a second Linux distro at the free end of my harddrive (why let the space go unused when you have it) in question, the remaining space after the 4th primary partition becaomes unusable (according to cfdisk).

So here's my question: Is this requirement of two primary partitions by Libranet unique to Libranet or does Debian woody also do this? I have consulted the latter's install docs but they're rather vague in that area and I'd prefer to know before I venture into a new install.

I would think a swap can be a logical partition but it could be the way your setting it up..

Usually you could make a swap a primary and then the / with everything under it as a logical.. that should be possible.

I'm not familiar with Libranet so someone correct me if I'm off here.
