Talking Large file system on redhat 7.3


I would like to know how to increase the maximum file size and file system from 2GB in RedHat 7.3 with kernel 2.4.18 and ext3 file system
No expert in linux, sorry...but need to know as soon as possible how to do, as I need to handle with very huge files...

Hi! Welcome to LQ

I would suggest to not double post.

I do understand that you may think you'll get more responses, and possibly fix your problem faster, but I would guess this really doesn't happen very often, and just wastes space, and actually wastes your time because you have to check all places where you posted questions.

I will answer your question, but I choose to answer it in the Software Section.

If you double posted because you werent sure where to post this, the section Linux-General is the place to put stuff if you aren't sure where else to put it. That is actually stated in the Rules, where it's also stated that you shouldn't double post.
