Konstruct install of KDE3.2 on Knoppix installed to HD--will it work?

Just wondering if anyone has successfully used Konstruct to install KDE3.2 on a knoppix HD install...its been running for over 18 hours now and is still doing something.

depending on the machine, the compile can take a loooong time. Also, it downloads a lot and when it connects to a slow server, it can take forever too.

YES, BUT IT WORKED!!
LOL
36 hours later (i have cable internet thank goodness) the compile is done on a really old machine.
Now I have a KDE3.2 directory with everything in it.
My question is, how do I set the knoppix HD-install system to boot KDE3.2 from this directory? Pls help...

take a look at the README file in the konstruct directory which tells you the basics. The easiest thing to do is to boot into text mode and then use startx to start KDE - the export stuff that gets explained in the readme file goes into ~/.xinitrc. I'm not sure how to do it with a graphical login manager (I've never used one) but I'm sure there are here threads explaining it.
