Knoppix or similar for intel macs?
 
Is there Knoppix ISOs for intel macs/a way to use Knoppix on intel macs? If not is there a good alternative (boots off cd/dvd and offers about the same or better collection of software and utilities) that's preferably free for intel macs? Thanks! :)

asking because since intel macs use EFI I believe it is instead of the standard PC BIOS which I believe means that bootable OSes must have additional support in them in order to boot properly under the EFI bios system intel macs use

Ubuntu and Fedora are getting that done. It looks like Fedora is just lacking a wee bit here and there. Most notably on the suspend arena.
