Kde 3.2 upgraded but no plastik!

Hey all,

Strange problem here. I recently upgraded to kde 3.2 on a fresh install of Suse 9.0 (did it through apt-get); for the most part, everything is running wonderfully, however, there is NO plastik theme!?!

I did not have plastik installed on 3.1 before upgrading. I tried to install the plastik rpm, which initially complained about kdebase and kdelibs, but ended up installing. Yet still no plastik theme anywhere to be found.

What's the deal? Is it a kdebase problem (I think I had to uninstall kdebase before upgrading to 3.2, and then I reinstalled it), or do you think it has something to do with the always entertaining Suse/kde fetish about /opt/?

Thanks

You need to install kde-artwork. At least, that's what I had to do to get Plastik on Slackware 9.1 (where it is called kdeartwork and is in slackware-current, rather than the slackware-9.1 tree). So I don't know where it is in the SuSE tree, but you basically want the kde-artwork version for KDE 3.2.

Hope this helps.

If it still doesn't help, try to reinstall kde-libs. I had that problem too; my styles was reduced to a minimum after upgrading to 3.2. It was because that kde-libs was compiled before Qt-3.2 or something in that sort.

Installing kdeartwork did the trick! Thanks guys!
