I just tried to download Kali 2020 A from the kali.org site but looking at the download size it`s 2GB but when i downloaded the size was 161.9KB and it`s labeled iso so can anybody explain this and how / where to get the full iso or explain what i`m doing wrong.

I just downloaded the 64 bit installer successfully from their website. Have you tried again with the same results.

I can't explain other then it didn't work.

Based on your posting history and your seeming level of experience with Linux, I'd ask why you're trying to download/use Kali?? Their own website tells you it's for experienced Linux users, and even then for security/pentesting, and they even recommend you run it as a virtual machine. Not to sound nasty, but if you can't figure out how to download it, are you sure you have the level of experience/knowledge needed to USE it??

actually you need to tell us what did you try exactly and what's happened exactly. Otherwise hard to tell you what went wrong.

My guess is that you copied a link to .iso file and tried to download it with wget/curl with wrong user agent, cookies, redirects etc. You can use 'file' program to check the type of the .iso file you downloaded:
It's probably text file. If it is, you can open in the editor or display in the terminal using less, more, cat or similar programs and check what it says.

I know how to download-burn a iso and interested in learning as well VM`s not to difficult have been reading about them, but something is wrong when only 161 kb downloads instead of the 2GB size of the iso, now i`m thinking it could be the browser for some unknown reason. The url is https://www.kali.org/downloads/ In the image i tried downloading the 1st. & 3rd. item.
The other image shows the 2 images - It`s self explanatory.

Not familiar with Kali but wouldn't it have mirrors? I'm sure they make available GPG signatures or SHA hashes, you could verify your ISO against those.

EDIT: Looks like the OP above me found torrent downloads along with hashes. If you're having problems downloading the ISO I would recommend torrenting and then verifying against the hashes.

EDIT #2: That other picture you found proves that you're looking at the torrent, not the ISO.

..and since you STILL don't tell us what you did to download them, we can't tell you much; you don't tell us which browser, on what OS, and what you did to initiate the download. As you've been told before, unless you provide details and do basic research first, there isn't a lot we can help you with.

Again, Kali is for ADVANCED LINUX USERS...read their website, and read the ample Kali posts on this site (along with the sticky posts about Kali). Either single clicking or right-clicking and choosing 'Save link as' work perfectly for me in both Chrome and Firefox. Again, if you can't download it, you probably shouldn't be using it.

Yes, Kali.org only has torrents-mirrors the other things you mentioned are included on the kali.org site. So where is the iso ?

If you want to get the ISO via torrent, load the torrent into your client and then when the download finishes, verify the ISO against the hash.
If you would rather use a mirror, then download the .iso, not the .iso.torrent, and then verify the ISO against the hash.

It does not take a Phd. to download a os i`ve done it many times before but not kali and this is the first problem of it`s kind i have encountered, I also did as you described in you post but like i said it`a a first.

Well, it appears to work for everyone else here but you. And you **STILL** don't tell us what you're doing/trying with what to accomplish this, despite being asked three times now. Answering those questions also does not require a Phd.

Are you paying attention to the fact that you REALLY shouldn't be using Kali for anything at this stage??

The image name itself is the link to the ISO.

Did you try selecting it to download the file?
