Java Desktop System
I am new to Linux and have recently installed Red Hat 9 on my system. I would like to try out a different distribution of linux and I am looking at the Java Desktop System and LindowsOS. I searched through each of their respective websites and have been unable to find it available for free to download. Perhaps I don't understand the GPL. My understanding was that all linux distrubtions should be available at no cost.
Red Hat offers iso images for download on their website. Yet when I registered, is shows that I have a "Demo" copy. Can someone clear things up for me? Also, if you know, please let me know where I can get the Java Desktop System or LindowOS without having to purchase it.
Thanks!
George

The Java Destop System is the SuSE distrabution with some programs taken out and other put in. I am not sure exactly what the differences are but I know the desktop is GNome and I am not sure if KDE is provided.
