ISO of slackware-current?

Is there any place to get an iso of slackware-current? I would love to have a Slackware with new glibc, XF86, and gcc. But, I would also prolly just install 8.0 unless I can get a slackware-current iso.

Anyone know where to get one?
Or if there is a really easy way to install slackware-current?

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I believe everything under slackware-current is a package for updating the appropriate components of the 8.0 distro.

I think you'll need to install/upgrade them one by one unless you wait until they release another version (i.e. 9.0 or something).

You said you weren't sure. Anyone else know? Cause I really like Slackware, and I would LOVE an updated slackware.

You'll have to just get the packages and update manually. If Slack released a current ISO it'd be the same as releasing a Slack 8.2 or so, which hasn't happened. So long story short, gotta download the packages.

He was asking about where to get the slackware-current ISO IF there was one, which there is not. You can only get Slack 8 original in ISO form. Gotta download the updated packages.

Just install slack 8 and go on an upgrade frenzy :)
Hint; use the source luke....

They have updated the source tree with the correct package tree so you can burn the /pub/slackware-current/slackware/ directory from the FTP on to a CD. Boot off the Slackware 8.0 CD. When it asks for the install media, swap CDS and point it to the cdrom drive. It will install Slackware-Current packages at that point.

Or build a new ISO image with the new packages...

i know for a fact you can get slackware-current iso's as i have do3wnloaded one before. i cant remember where it was from tho so you might want to have a search about for it.

You can definitly find slackware-current ISO's. But usually not on the slackware official sites. They just change things too frequently. They do, however, give you all the tools on there (and instructions too if I am not mistaken) to build your own bootable install cd in the slackware-current directory.
