chroot into your system
Code:
mount -all
grub-install --removable
If you want the grub bootloader to be registered in the firmware/bios efibootmgr needs to be installed and run

It is still saying that it cannot find a device for /boot/efi, and asking if /dev is mounted.
I tried to do
Code:
mount /dev/nvme0n1p1 /boot/efi
, but it said this:
Code:
mount: /boot/efi: mount failed: Operation not permitted.

I can fix this with nomodeset, but I think that just disables the drivers until system boot up? Correct me if I am wrong, and if it has any negative side-effects

Yes, something like that. Side-effects, I'm not sure about.
