Some of the components inherently are (GNU coreutils, Linux kernel, etc.). By the terms of the GPL (and other licenses) they must make source available to you when they redistribute the binaries. If they are not doing so, they are violating the GPL.
PCLOS is based on Mandrake/Mandriva. Its author was one of the best creators of 3rd-party rpms for Mandrake. I am reasonably sure the source *is* available. Did you ask the moderators (in a polite way) about why your thread was deleted?
I don't really see anything wrong with it, but then, at the forum I moderate, I'm "the 'nice' one". On my site, though, we normally let a poster know why their thread/post was deleted (unless it's obvious, like porn, or something).
I would ask a moderator, saying something like
"I asked a question the other day about src.rpms, and I can no longer find it. Did it get deleted? If so, why?"
Hopefully, they would be mature enough to provide a clear, non-accusatory answer.
(FWIW, over the years, I *have* occasionally deleted threads I was moving - hit the wrong button, whatever. But I always apologize to the poster when I screw up something like that. )
Check the forum rules on the PCLOS forum - if there is already a thread asking for src rpms, some boards will delete threads. Seconding the "ask nicely" option.
srpms are available at ftp.tuxmachines.org or you can email me and I will send you a dvd of them. I dont know why your post was deleted. Im on holiday and will be home tomorrow.
