ipcop question

I'm having problens setting IPCop as a router on a P233 w/ 128MB

Our DSL modem connects through ethernet and was issued by our ISP. How do I set it up so that I don't put in a phone number to connect to?

what phone number? do you currently use one?? you wouldn't be asked to enter one on ipcop at all, as you'd be configuring an adsl connection not dialup.

I disabled the ADSL thing on installation (ISDN, too).

well you're trying to apparently set up a dialup 56k modem over serial port there... that's the wrong screen. as the screen say... "dialup" at the top there.

Don't see anything very useful there

Init: * Hangup: *
Speaker on: * Speaker off: *
Tone dial: * Pulse dial: *
Connect timeout:

By the way. Our modem if a 5+year old Alcatel Speedtouch Home

It looks like PPPoE should be listed in the interface menu, I don't have it.

It's working, now.

I don't know whether or not it's just me, but I'm noticing a speed boost from the old Linksys router
