installing suse 8.2 via ftp

i have the suse 8.2 cd and i am trying to do an ftp install. the install asks for the ip address of the ftp server which i assume is ftp.suse.com. that ip address is 217.9.113.66 however when i put that in the install times out connecting or i get some other error about not being able to connect.

is there another ftp server to install from like ibiblio.org? can i install ftp from other sites like that?

Here is a link to a list of mirrors http://www.suse.com/us/private/downl...t_mirrors.html . The main SUSE FTP is always slow for me or times out. The California mirror near the bottom of the page is usually always fast for me.

sorry for taking so long to get back to this thread but i finally got suse 8.2 installed at home. it took all night to install everything over ftp but it did it.

now im trying to get the nvidia driver installed and got that dreaded kernel header error. oh well, off to post about that.
