Installing S/W from DVD using YaST (Suse 9.1 Pro)

I'm new to all this Linux stuff. I was assigned to setup a Suse Linux 9.1 Pro box in our support lab, everything went very smooth in regards to setting it up using YaST. However, I don't understand how to install s/w off the DVD's using YaST. With DVD installed I changed the source of the s/w to point to the DVD as the source and tried loading via YaST. What should I see? Should I see directories when I chose the DVD as the source? I just see "DVD:////". Firstly, I do not see the s/w of the DVD included in the package list. If I search for the s/w it does not find it either.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the src.rpm & nosrc.rpm file formats on the DVD. I don't understand these files. Can someone explain what they mean and what I need to do to get them installed using YaST? I'm completely lost and frustrated, but not ready to give up! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I sure I'll have many more questions down the road. Thanks!

src.rpm is a package that installs the source code for a given program. Its not what you need.

The way to do that is to add the new source of software and do the search for packages using the icon "Install and Remove Software", under yast2. If you happen to ask for installing a software which is in the dvd, yast2 will tell you to insert it.

A last resource is to load the dvd, mount it, and browse it. When you find the package you want, just right click it and choose "install", or "kpackage". Kpackage will open it and prompt you for the root passwd to install a rpm package.
