Schizophrenic LQ Newbie Registered: Feb 2003 Location: India Posts: 1 Rep:	Installing Redhat 7.2 on AMD Athlon Hi I installed Redhat 7.2 selecting grub loader on my machine, the installation went smoothly and when I tried to boot the linux, it gave error "Error 28: can not fit into memory". I searched forum and found that grub had problem and 0.93 version of it will solve the problem.But my problem was not solved.I tried with LILO and the error 28 problem was solved. But after booting linux it hangs while starting APM daemon.I enabled ACPI settings in BIOS but even that hasn't solved the problem. Can anybody tell me what is wrong with my installation,is there any hardware specific problem? my configurations are AMD athlon XP 1700+, ASUS motherboard with DDR ram Thanks Schizophrenic
