Hello, i'm a newbie and i'm trying to install mandrake 9.1. I have 2 harddrives in my system, one with windows on it on IDE0 (I think), and another for storage on a Promise MBFastTrack133 RAID controller (it's on the Asus A7V333 Motherboard). When I install, I want to leave the windows partition intact and partition and install to the other harddrive on the RAID controller. Unfortunately, the Mandrake installation does not recognize the second harddrive attached to the RAID controller. I really don't want to touch the first drive at all (this is not an option). Any ideas?

How about physically unplugging the drive with Windows on? That's what paranoid lil' ol' me did when I first did an install on to a separate drive!

Ok after wasting about a day i found a solution. The problem is with the Mandrake 9.1 build, which has a bug in its support of promise onboard raid controllers.
