Installing lite
Hello,
I just wanted to get some facts, I am going to install a copy of the latest lite version on a partition on a optiplex 780, which has about 30GB, so I guess there shouldn't be a problem with this task.
Since I am running windows 7, I'd like to get this working, so I can have the option of a more secure system for web use.
I have done this before for a 32 bit, just install on a storage disk and fire it up from the startup of the PC, and select the drive to run.
I did manage to install, now it doesn't display when on startup, it just loads into windows 7. How do I get the lite system to display as an option to load into?

Reason: Manage to install the system, but no option to log onto the Lite OS

As with this thread, it's not clear what you've already done, nor what you're attempting to do. But likely the same kind of problem - i.e. you have not installed or correctly configured a boot loader / boot manager / UEFI, to boot both OS.

No, I don't know anything about this. I just installed the system alongside 7, so 50GB is not displayed in the drive part of the system, only the other partition which is 30GB.
I thought installing this would like it was with the XP system, I still have. I was thinking of the Lite as a back up solution to use when 7 has the support stopped.
These old systems optiplex 760, 780 and so on are available on Amazon with windows 10, but they are too old for that.
