Installing Debian from ISO's... quick question

Hello,

I was just looking at trying Debian and I found the iso's on a mirror:
ftp://mirrors.usc.edu/pub/linux/dist...debian-cd/i386

Then I saw 7+1 discs!! Are all of these needed? Or is it similar to Red Hat where the first 3 discs are needed, then the last few are source discs?

Thanks for answering this debian n00b question. :)

Well you COULD download all disks of course. I do not recommend that though. I recommend you download disk 1 and well you can do the rest of the setup online. That's what apt-get is for ... it will become your friend :-)

I like the way that sounds. thanks!
