I just wanted to know what is the cost of using automotive grade linux for production purpose use.
Also using linux for production purpose

Each version/distribution of linux has some form of agreement. It could be that it is open as in free to fully closed as in cost. Centos is an example of a free version of Red Hat minus the RH stuff.

As you see in the above link "Linux-based, open software platform for automotive applications " so, if it ever becomes finish it should be free.

Many car makers seem to be using QNX and that is mostly closed. The open port seems to have died.
