I cannot install linux on Asrock P4i45GV

Hi!!

My system configuration is:

MotherBoard: Asrock P4i45GV
Ram: 256 MB
Clock Speed: 2.4 GHz
(Please ask me, if need more info)

Well.. I am facing trouble while installing any of the linux distributions

Firstly, I installed RH9 but the system freezes as soon as I plug any usb device.
Surprisingly, when I install RH9 on my other non asrock systems it ran fine.
Then, I tried to install Fedora core 3.During installation it always hung up while probing the USB device. So I installed it through noprobe command. But after installaion it reboot everytime I chose FC-3 from grub.

Please help me, I know the problem is with the motherboard itself. And it is with everyone even with my friends who own this motherboard.

Kindly tell me how to get around this problem. Without changing the motherboard . Because windows run fine without any difficulty on this motherboard.

no!! it doesnt solve the problem

Thanks for reply

I appended a line "noapic" into /etc/grub.conf but it did nt make any differences.

Moreover, I tried to install FC-3 (I lost one of the FC-4 CD) the system hangs up while examining usb host controller (or perhapes loading the drivers for it). Offcourse I can install fc-3 with 'noprobe' option , but later on when system reboots after installation. It prompts error and doesnt proceed.

that didnt work

I wrote those lines into the grub again. But again it showed unrecongnized command.
So, I pressed TAB to find list of allowed command while booting. I could not find any of the three commands told by you.
