Huge fonts

I just installed Slackware 9.0 on my laptop. Everything works great except for the fact that all the fonts in all my window managers are huge and dialog boxes are too big to fit on the screen.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Sounds to me like you need to configure X. Take a look at xf86config and see if you can answer all its questions.
