How to setup Standby and Hibernate as options during shutdown

hi all,
i'm currently using PCLinuxOS .91...
i am hoping someone might let me know how to add standby and hibernate as an option when ending a session. all i see is turn off, end session, or restart. i have enabled acpi under the kde control panel and my hp pavilion zt1290 does go into standby if the pc is idle, but i can't manually do so.

any help would be greatly appreciated!
