How MontaVista Utility BitBake installs precompiled rpm?

Hello All,

I am new to work on Montavista Linux. I need to know how bitbake utility of Montavista installs precompiled rpm i.e. for example: I have installable rpm (dos2unix-3.1-35.74.armv7l.rpm) of dos2unix utility so instead of installing this rpm using command rpm2cpio I want bitbake to install this rpm.

I have .bb file for dos2unix but I am not aware which paramter/flag I need to pass or mention in .bb file so that bitbake can install this rpm just like as rpm2cpio.

Please help on this.

Thanks

Re:

This can be done by specifying your installable RPM in SRC_URI of your bitbake file.
