how can I make PCLinuxOS skip its setup questions?

I notice that when I start the PCLinuxOS liveCD, it puts me through a number of setup questions, such as my time zone and my internet connection. I don't want to deal with them at that point, especially on a liveCD, because I'm just trying to get to the desktop. Is there a way to skip all of them? Clicking cancel for a question seems to either take me back to the one just completed, or at best, take me to the next one.

You could try a different live distro. I've never had the problem you're experiencing with Knoppix or Mepis.

Well, I like MEPIS very much, and would still be using it, but it doesn't cooperate with my current monitor except in failsafe mode. The last time I looked at PCLinuxOS, it did. Knoppix doesn't install to the HD (I mean to install a distro, not use the liveCD indefinitely) without becoming Debian, as far as I know.

I think there is a cancel button provided.

Yes, there is, but when I tried it on various of the setup screens, it didn't get me out of the whole thing. I shouldn't have to go through a mandatory setup for a liveCD.

I think its the same all around...I've never seen an option for booting without it.

Which version of PCLinuxOS is this? 2007, is a pain, you could try D/L .93

It would undoubtedly be the latest, since I downloaded it last week or the week before. I'll try .93, thank you.

You should know that versions before 2007 are no longer recieving updates and do not have an 'official' repository.

The reason for this was detailed by Texstar in the forums while he was working on 2007 (space limitations and other reasons)

As for the question you have about disabling this feature...I suggest you try the pclinuxos.com forums as there may be an option that I'm not aware of that can get you the desired result.
