Good looking distro
Dear all.

I'm looking for some small good looking desktop oriented distros.
Please give me suggestion, other than
Redhat, Mandrake, Suse, Gento, Slackware, Debian

A few links to the screenshot will be very appreciated.

I don't know why people insist on screenshots of distro's as its not the distro your looking at but the desktop or window manager instead your viewing.

Any distro will work if you want to make it look pretty or good, its the desktop and window manager you want to change.

That's the key.
I want to know how far a disto has changed the default look of a WM/desktop.

Slackware for example, does not change anything, It has KDE as is.
On the other hand, Redhat changes everything until you almost don't know it is KDE anymore.

Another example, on Mandrake, IceWM looks bare ugly.
Vector Linux has polished it, charm like XP.

So yeah, by screenshot I hope I would know the improvement from the standard looking.

lol, the DEFAULT theme for iceWM is ugly....
look at the screen shots of blueCrux or iceCrack2 or even the XP clone... very pretty !
i think you can find them by searching sourceforge for icewm themes.

and what tricky kid says is true !!!!!
dont change your WHOLE distro to get a different look...
just change your Windows Manager, or WIndows Manager theme !

have you seen the screen shots to evil entity linux ??? it looks nothing like redhat linux, but i changed my wm to the same wm evil linux used, changed the theme, and boom, every time i boot linux people ask me if evil entity is any good. i say fek knows, this is redhat.

If you're willing to work at it, Gentoo has some real bleeding edge X stuff. That's not to say you can't have any of that on any other distro, but it seems that Gentoo has a lot going on in that dept.

If not that, then consider getting a Mac with OS X.
