Gentoo site flaws

Hey all,

Can anyone else see any content on this page:
http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/handboo...?part=1&chap=6

I've been going thru the gentoo install, and all of a sudden, certain pages of the installation book are without any content. Other than the chaper name, they load NO text at all.

Looks fine to me.
6. Installing the Gentoo Base System
6.a. Chrooting

Code Listing 15: Building the System

# emerge system

and so on. What browser are you using? Must be something with it - or a temporary glitch of some kind.

Ok. This is really damn silly. I was first using IE on my XP box, while working thru the online gentoo install manual. Then all of a sudden, pages would no longer show their content, other than chapter title and number, forward and back buttons.

So, I switched to my SuSE9 box, and used Netscape7.1 and finally got to the page and TEXT i needed to see. SO, after going thru that page, chapter 6, I wanted to venture into chapter 7 for config of the kernel... NOPE!!!
Now it won't display jack $H*& on the pages on either system. Tell me whats wrong please, because this is damn annoying.

Tnx.

Ok, so this is what happens,
in the browser, at the top left corner of the title bar, it says:
UNDEFINED STRING

wtf does that mean and why did it just start doing it and why on two different machines running two different OSes and two different browsers?

If it's any consolation, I have the same thing. Maybe they are doing maintenance?

Thats kinda what I figured. Tho, it sux, cuz it is completely impecable timing, I understand they have updates to do n such, but it just figures my luck while trying to do this install, there is always something that is screwy
First, Stage1 won't work. Then when restarting, my XP machine glitches because ATI drivers and my card have issues. Tried all sorts of things there, even contacted ATI to much dismay they say I have a bad card... go figure. SHould have stuck with nVidia.
Then, I restart the install with stage 2, and now their site is crapping out.

Seems as tho I'm not mean to do this install this week...
just a rant.

Yeah they were doing maintanence probably because they had to update the install instructions since a few things have changed in portage.

What probs have you got with Gentoo Stage 1? I am now, AT LONG LAST, a very happy Gentoo user, but not without extraordinary hassle though!
