I try to install gentoo from one of the liveCD's.
I've got an AZERTY keyboard with a belgian layout. How can I change the layout that is by default set on "us". I tried to change the keymap in rc.conf. But when I reload it, it complains that it doesn't find the 'be' file.
I can go further with qwerty, but as there are many things to do and to edit during a gentoo installation, I prefer not taking the risk to add some corrupt compilation option...
I suppose it's possible since redhat, debian,..installers can change it before starting installation of the system...

Run xf86config, or change it in the /etc/X11/XF86Config file. See if that works.
