I've just installed a fresh version of Gentoo with a custom kernel, its my first time compiling my own kernel so we'll see how good I did. It boots up into the terminal, runlevel 2, which is ok i guess, but I don't know how to start gnome? "startx" dosent work? I assume that must of been associated with a program I didn't install, so i'm hoping I didn't blow that one or I can "emerge" it or something. I haven't done anything to it yet, except install and reboot. Can some Gentoo user atleast get me started or point to a guide somewhere about setting up Gentoo after you install and reboot. I'm very lost. I've never used Gnome either, i've always used KDE so i'm feeling very lost. Thanks for any help.
