gentoo 2005.1 installer?

Well it looks like it's been released and the mirrors are up and its available....but for those who got it , anyone know where I can find the version that has the installer? I only found the minimal and universal one? What's the filename of the gentoo cd that has the installer with it.

Both the minimal and universal have all the tools you need to isntall the OS. Gentoo doesn't have a pretty graphical installer, it is a fairly manual process. However, there is a great guidebook that tells you step by step how to complete said process.

If you already have Gentoo installed then going from 2005.0 to 2005.1 requires a simple emerge sync && emerge -uDva world.

Gentoo Install Handbook.

he's talking about the gentoo-installer... it's under the /experimental/x86 directory... good luck with it... it's still got quite a few bugs.. and only supports ext2/ext3 no resiserfs, xfs, or anything else..

Ahh... I didn't even know that exsisted.

*Beware* some users on the Gentoo forum have suffered complete hard drive wipe without a workable install and many lost files. Heed the warnings it's an infestation.
