Gateway9310X won't Boot Slackware12.2

Mobo: 2522164-Intel BTX 915G (South Lake2) 800Mhz FSB
Intel Pentium R 4 CPU 3.20GHz
Intel(R) EM64T Capable
Total Memory 2048MB. Memory Mode Dual Channel
Bios: SE91510J15A.2280.2005.0207.2105
SATA Port 0 WDC WD2500KS 00M
ATAPI: Primary Master TSST Corp CD/DVDW
Primary Slave HL-DT-STDVD-ROM
GeForce 6600 NV43 (rev2) - Of course there is no Nvidia Driver Setup

When I turn on th box I get an Ugly White INTEL LOGO Box and Just as Ugly Green GateWay on Black backgrnd and Setup Prompt F2

I Formatted the HDD using fdisk /dev/sda - I installed slackware12.2 , Setup Lilo to MBR for /dev/sda1 partition as root

AT Boot I get the following:
Intel R Boot Agent PXE CODE (PXE-2.1 build 084) copy right 1997-2004

Yukon PXE v3.03 (20040915) (c) 2003-2004 Marvel (R)
Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) V2.1
Client mac addr
GUID: 404F8858 E11D B211 8000 822 CED454130
PXE -E53 No Boot file name received
(Have seen other posts and followed their steps but my problem persists)
BC - Loader() ==0053
PXE-M0F Exiting PX Rom

Have checked cables
Replace CMOS Battery
Have chnged boot order
Reset Bios to Default
Turned off the Boot to Network

I can only boot into OS w/boot disk, then mount /dev/sda

I reinstalled the OS 3 times
Chked rechecked Lilo boot file

Can I remove those ugly Intel and Gateway Splashes? Think its the Bios setting?
My first build is better than all this newer junk.. this **is the **first time a Slackware install has failed me. Everything looks good from inside the installed OS.

Can anyone guide me thru this NO Name Bios setup and/or bios upgrade w/o a windows interface?

Why is my HDD not being recognized as bootable device? Does this bios only recognize MS

I will never buy a computer frm a manufacturer. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

K, reinstalled too many times and whatever is on this HDD is now corrupted. Reformated & Reinstalled. Previously I only used fdisk but tried cfdisk to check Partition Table per deadeyes' recommendation and found the feature to set boot partition.

Problem was that for some reason slackware install was not setting the /dev/sda1 as my boot partition. Solution set /dev/sda1 to boot in Cfdisk and finished partitioning in fdisk. Cfdisk puts * next to boot partition. Problem Solved. Thanks deadeyes
