"failed dependencies: filesystem is needed by pango...": ever seen such an rpm-error?

I tried to install some gnome2 components, such as gtk2, atk, glib2 and pango on a suse 8.0 with kde 3.1.5.
rpm gave me the error message of missing dependencies: missing was "filesystem"
("error: failed dependencies: filesystem is needed by pango-1.0.5-0").

Actually, I have a perfectly working system for now a bit more than 2 years, and of course with several filesystems (Fat, e2fs, isofs etc.), so ... does anybody know, what this error message means???
