Post Fileserver - SAMBA-SWAT

I recently purchased two NAS servers with the purpose of backups, these are Linux based appliances running Samba on it, it has a web interface that is not SWAT , but its own thing, that is really powerful, and I ended up using the unit as a file server, I know SWAT is very powerful as well, but it lacks of options such as real world wizards.
Example
If you wish to join a Domain follow this step.
If you wish to create a domain follow here…
If you wish to use a workgroup …

My question is , is there any distribution aimed to exclusively setup a Linux box as a full fileserver?

The NAS appliances are from snapappliance dot com
