Fedora 6 disk partioning layout

I have partitioned my hard disk into two primary partitions (equally divided). I have installed mepis on the first and would want to install Fedora core 6 on the second partition. The Mepis installation went fine and it's now working well. When installing FC, I was stucked with the disk partioning. FC wont automatically create the disk partitioning at the start of the installation. As per my experience, this is not a problem if you have a single disk dedicated to FC, it will create the partitions automatically for you. Now that I am installing it on a partition, my option is to create manually the disk partions. I have research on this and found out that I should have at least 3 partitions, /boot, /, and swap partition. Can anyone please help me on how to create these partitions. thanks...

You need a partition to mount at / and a swap partition. You can use the same swap that you use with Mepis. Your FC6 home hierarchy will be a subdirectory under / rather than being a separate partition.
