Evolve (a must)...

UK, BUDGIE desktop, PiSi package manager ...

Quote:
Evolve OS is a Linux distribution built from scratch. It uses a forked version of the PiSi package manager, maintained as "eopkg" within Evolve OS, and a custom desktop environment called "Budgie", developed in-house. The Budgie desktop, which can be set to emulate the look and feel of the GNOME 2 desktop, is tightly integrated with the GNOME stack. The distribution is available for 64-bit computers only.
a must test it or install it !

I gave the beta a test spin today, and although it does have pretty good eye-appeal, I couldn't find anything really that compelling about it to make me want to use it. Budgie kinda feels like somewhere between ChromeOS and Cinnamon, pretty basic, and probably about as responsive as Cinnamon on my ThinkPad T61. Some of the UI elements were still a bit buggy.

I guess mostly any more, everything I try apart from OpenBSD and Slackware just seems like eternal beta software.
