if you have a slack forum, i will hit 1000 posts in no time... then some people will get some beer and i'll be up there with finegan again (then again, a slack forum will probably get him typing furiously, so there goes my hopes of ever catching up )

so go go jeremy!

Definitely!

I don't use Slack too often, because mainly I'm too much of a wimp to let go of the many Mandrake apron strings, but with a Slack specific forum...who knows?

Ya a slack forum would be great!
Thanks!

I was also thinking... All of us here owe A LOT to jeremy...
And Jeremy, do you run this site by yourself and why did you decide to make it?

Well I am the only person who touches code or makes the final decisions, but a large part of what you see it due to the help of the mods. They all volunteer their time to help make LinuxQuestions a better place. They all put in a tremendous amount of effort and expect nothing in return. Thanks mods!!

As to why I started this site? I really liked Linux and wanted to give something back to the Linux community. Like I have said before I never thought it would grow into what it has by any stretch of the imagination.

Thumbs up

Man, an upgrade of almost every package, I can't wait for Slackware 9 (this may be my number one next distro).

NOTE: I'm still a newbie, but after Mandy, I'll moving over to Slack.
