Error while compiling in gentoo (vlos)

Hello, I emerged kde to start with and things went fine have a working (very fast) kde environment. I emerged firefox and it works great. I am trying to install k3b and when it gets to the point to compile cdrdao it stops with error:
006061 /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.3/include/g++-v3/bits/stl_iterator.h:134: error: class `std::reverse_iterator<_Iterator>' does not have any field named `get_current'
006062 /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-pc-linux-gnu/3.4.3/include/g++-v3/bits/stl_iterator.h:134: error: expected `{' before '(' token
006063 make[1]: *** [dao.o] Error 1
006064 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/cdrdao-1.1.7-r3/work/cdrdao-1.1.7/dao'
006065 make: *** [all] Error 1

I tried installing the new version of cdrdao and this version (alone without k3b) and they both fail. Anyone know what might be up? I am very impressed with the amount of packages in the portage tree.

Thanks in advance for the help!

anti_microsoft

Like the name, simple and to the point

Anyway on to your problem

You see to be trying to install cdrdao-1.1.7-r3
Code:
`/var/tmp/portage/cdrdao-1.1.7-r3/work/cdrdao-1.1.7/dao'
There is a bug report here

But that's quite old

The latest stable version is listed here

You say that you tried to install a "newer version" which version is that

Hello, thanks for the reply. I also tried installing the 1.2.0 and it would not compile. I am willing to try another burner if there is one similar to k3b.

Thanks for the help.
