Hi, don't know if I'm posting in the right forumn but there isn't one for Gentoo. But I was just wondering if someone knew if it is possible to change the download server for the emerge command in gentoo. As is it dl packages from a gentoo.org server but I would like it to dl packages from a local server.
I'm living in iceland an dl from abrod costs so emergin comes at a price... wich sucks! But we have a gentoo mirror here in iceland wich i'd like to use.

Your right, so why put your question in a specific LFS forum? If you don't see a specific forum for the distro your using, place them in just Distributions. If still unsure, place in Linux - General. No pun intended but its not rocket science either.
Excuse my ignorace but (though i know this now) i was a first day, first timer to linux and did not relice that "Linux From Scratch" was a specific distro, I took it as a more in general topic of various distros from scratch/indepth.
