Dual-booting PCLOS and arch linux[Solved]
hey people
i'm trying to get arch to dual boot with pclos but i keep running into problems with arch
each OS is on there own Hard drive
when i booted into arch
1st thing is i have no usb
mouse doesnt even light up
2nd thing is i cant mount my cd-rom
mount: error unknown file system iso9660
3rd when i uname -r i get 2.6.16.27.tex1.lve
booting into PCLOS
i get the file system check reports bad superblock on hdd3
i have to use the shutdown -rf now to bypass the file system check
i guess my question is what did i do wrong and where do i start fixing everything that is wrong
thanks blame

Reason: update
Would these be old HDDs? You'll want to verify the filesystem via the usual tools fo each OS.

1. Check "lsmod" to make sure the usbhid module is being used. (if not, try "modprobe usbhid")
2. Sounds like the iso9660 driver is not there.
This is looking like an incomplete installation...

How so? Generally, grub has nothing to do with it once the OS is loaded.
If you install PCLinuxOS, then another distro, you may find that you have changed the properties of one or more partitions. When you try to run PCLinuxOS again, the information in /etc/fstab will not match the data on the HDDs themselves, and the installation may abort.
The solution is to run the other distro, or a live CD, and mount the partition where you have installed PCLinuxOS. Then change the fstab file by deleting lines relating to any partitions that may have been changed.
You will then be able to run PCLinuxOS, and rebuild the data for those partitions via the Control Centre.

Arch Linux is installed on HDD1 /root,HDD2 Swap ,HDD3 /home
HDD3 is archs /home partition
whats confuseing is this partition has nothing to do with pclos
