Dual Boot With Mint&Kali - Booting Problem

I've installed Mint 17 Kali 1.0.9 several times but with no success, I've tried installing Mint then Kali normally, Boot repair Disk to fix it,tried making a fresh format with Gparted etc. all which didn't work. tried searching it out but with no good direction to follow.
Having two OS's should be a easy to install but this one is killing me, i'm all for learning and trying myself i just need a direction.
My problem is i can't install kali with my pen drive, i already have mint installed but i can't seem to install kali.

lets try to make this simple ok.
1 install the system to what ever drive say mint to drive sdax ok put grub on the MBR. this will become your host system.
2 now install your other OS to another partition or drive lets say sdbX.
3 do not add a boot loader when installing the second OS.
if you do place it on mbr of sdbx or what ever partition you put second OS on. You need to always boot from your Host grub.

now boot back into mint and run sudo grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg then sudo update-grub now reboot you will see your new system
in grub2 boot loader. and it should boot.

Forgive me for asking a couple stupid questions:
1) Why do you you want to install Kali? Are you a computer security professional? And is Kali not meant to be used as a portable system? (On a USB device, as opposed to installed on a hard-drive.)
2) Since Kali is for professionals, if you cannot install it, are you ready to use it?

Old thread but in any case:

Install Mint first, manual partition if need to resize.

Install Kali after, guided install in this and amend grub file to boot properly.
