Don't know if my distos are free or should I have paid for them

I'm rather new to the whole linux thing. Anyway while playing around on the campus server I found some linux iso so I downloaded them and now I want to know if they are free (as in no $ required) or should I have paid for them (in which case I've got some cd's to break). Here is a list of the distros

Mandrake Linux 10.1 (3 cd's) + Extra Updates CD
Mandrake Linux 10.0 (3 cd's)
Ubuntu Linux 4.10 (1 cd)
SuSE Linux 9.2
Mandriva Linux SE 2005

Thanks.

P.S. Is there some place that has a database where I can check if I get new distros.

They're free. You can get all the distro information you want at www.distrowatch.org

I recommend never paying for a distribution, with the exception of making a donation or paying for the media, or a book-cd set.

but, if one feels more comfortable with a pay-version, I can't really say that they shouldn't go with one.
