distro to use

Hi have a not so new laptop
Pentium III 450 Mhz
196Mb Ram
6GB Hard disk

The last year i run succesfully debian.. .but now i feel i need a change so i want to change something else.. I need a distro not so heavy for my pc...
I was thinking about ubuntu but still i dont have any problem for something else.. but i think suse 9.3,fedora 4 are not the best solution for my laptop

P.S Do u think my laptop can run the latest gnome or i should use the xfce ?
P.S2 I need a distro that provides the latest xfce version
P.S3 Having 192 mb ram how much disk space i need for swap?

Have a nice day

384 MB for swap.
Ubuntu with XFCE 4.2 or Damn Small Linux.

Any distro will work, just don't use heavy applications or interfaces like Gnome or KDE and it should work fine, just like we tell the countless others with the same type of question, the Old hardware, which distro question?
