I am interested in finding a live distro that supports:
a. "Thin"... limited size
b. Limited services
ssh
Scp
dd
Fisk
File systems (mkfs.msdos, ext, etc)
Networking
The purpose is a toolset for cloning, data migration etc. With a small footprint.
Must be a live CD or maybe include best instructions on creating as a live CD.
I have not compiled a kernel. Nor do I wish to at the moment.
Too busy supporting all OS (linux, unix, HP-UX, Solaris, SunOS, Windows, ESXi, IOS, Cisco IOS) to do learn that as well.
