Distro for a heavy webserver

I need to reinstall a Webserver with a RedHat 9 (at his end-of-life!).
The server is a Nec Server with P4-Xeon and SCSI-RAID disks.
What is the best reliable distro for it?
What about Slackware?

Slackware is good, but is lack of support. You might use Debian or a BSDish system, like FreeBSD.
