Distro
I would like to use MySQL and php on my distro. I used to have Slackware installed, but I can't get it to work. Waht distro shall I use to have these to work and I too are very pleased to compile my software from scratch.

Literally any server-oriented distro, actually does not even have to be server-oriented. Set up VirtualBox and try some, see what you fancy.
