Hi looking for tips on a distribution similar to OpenWRT but using systemd?

I like OpenWRT, its minimalist and has large active community. But i need systemd init and its surronding systemd tools. Its for a server usage.

OpenWRT is intended for embedded and SoHo type commercial routers and not a general purpose server distribution.

I prefer to have separate firewall and server devices but it depends on your needs. What are your requirements for a server? What do you want it to do?

I found an attempt to create a systemd based openwrt, but I think you found it too. And actually that development was not really successful, abandoned.

I think OpenWRT is mature and feature rich enough to be considered a general purpose slim OS. Sure its known for its HW broad support and for its routing features, but i think it more to OpenWRT then that. Its "slimness" is its strength and not its routing/fw features. At least if you create your own packages.

I am a developer and need a slim OS for running various own developed networking processes/apps. The reason im hunting is that OpenWRT is not standard, constructing OpenWRT package from own source code is messy and you are bound to OpenWRT and nothing else, Its non standard.
Whereas making a rpm/deb package from own code is easy (sort of), also interfacing with various systemd components gives the app/process a OS integration that is very feature rich, for example socket activation.

Debian and ClearLinux is what im testing, but maybe there is others.

Forgot the broad HW support that OpenWRT has, meaning my own deb/rpm packaged code with systemd integration running on bare metal on pretty much whatever hardware you can find with a network port similar to OpenWRT. That would be awesome.
