I recently tried to install Mandrake 7.2 on a brand new computer. When I booted from the Mandrake install disk, it "Couldn't read partition table." So I booted the recue option and used fdisk to make partitions. The rescue disk didn't let me use mke2fs though, so I loaded the installer again. It still couldn't read my partition table, even though I had just made one with fdisk, and when I loaded a Microsoft boot disk and ran its version of fdisk, it clearly showed the "non-DOS" partitions that I had created.
What should I do? Any help would be really appreciated. :) :newbie:

"recue" means "rescue" up there :-p
