Debian jr. - Download


Anyone know where I could find a Debina-Jr ISO online?

More importantly, have you heard of this distro? It rock! Just can't find it.

Checked debians site.. just found development notes

Hey buddy! Yep, read as much as I could, it's actually not available to us in .iso form yet, in fact just the "program list" is all I could find to see about getting it installed to at least develop for. It's still in Pre ALPHA stage it would appear, so I guess we will have to wait for (what I hope is) a short while until they release some sort of Alpha for us to play with, and scope out.

If anyone has better/more info, or if you are part of the developing team, please let me/us know, I/we would really like to help, and see how the progress is coming.

Yea, just read the document saying their status point. Yikes.. I have to stop getting so excited and posting so soon . Seems I post and within 10 mintues after post, POOF, answer is as clear as day on a front page...

funny how it does that ~ Can't wait for the distro tho, will me awesome for grade schools.

Just tried out TuxPaint, it's actaully a really fun program! THink kids will enjoy it a lot.

Just did a debian install.Debian jr. is in tasksel.So you can d/l it with that.Don't know what is included.

? Don't get ya... You mean it's part of the Woody distro? Basically making it a collection of 'Jr.' packages? I confused

It looks like it's a collection of programs that have been modified to fit the needs of kids.Got no idea wether it is on the woody cd's or not - did a netinstall.
What tasksel does is get predefined programs and installs them.Now where they come from is another question.
Can't check it out right now - my connection is a little busy.
